I keep losing tournaments because the new interface freezes.

I am using Firefox on Ubuntu.

The new poker interface freezes in the middle of the tournament. There is no way to refresh or reconnect to the server ... meaning I simply lose. I've lost three tournaments so far because of the interface.

Only Three Valentines Tournaments

GD had only three Valentines tournaments this year and these tournaments are sparsely attended.

It appears that GD is slowly failing.

I am pleased that GD is developing a new interface.

Unfortunately, the new interface takes too long to load. The script loads to 80% then sits for several minutes with the message "Loading Stats."

My guess is that these are the stats that GD uses to deal hands.

But, wait a second! GD does not need stats to deal hands. A decent random number generator can deal hands in fractions of milliseconds.

Anyway, it is not just the lag while GD loads stats that makes me unhappy. It is the thought that GD is loading stats to deal contrived hands that drives me to distraction. If I were a programmer at GD; I would say, lets kill the bot that deals contrived hands. Lets just use cards dealt randomly. This would reduce load time and make the game more interesting.

Biases Revealed

Of the 24 winners of the Valentines Tourney, 13 were from Poland.

The hands at GD are obviously rigged. I notice the hands are often rigged in the favor of players from Poland.

I know many people who stopped playing at Gamedesire because playing on a rigged system hurts one's poker playing.

I wonder if GD will ever realize that dealing rigged hands and building biases into their system drive players away?

Dynamite

I like to play the Black Dynamite Free Roll to break up winning streaks.

The only problem with this strategy is that, if you take first or second; you have to play the Dynamite Tournament. The Dynamite game is a wicked game with a $150,000 rebuy and add on.

Anyway, I played the first game with the hope that I might end in the top ten percent of hands ... but some how managed to win.

I had to change my daily schedule around to play the Dynamite Game. My big hope was simply to make it past the first break, but people kept throwing bluffs in my direction when I had strong hands and I somehow managed to win the Dynamite Tournament as well; So, I went from having 50K chips to $10 million by playing a free role.

Woohoo!
